Flawed but still good.

I have some issues with the novel. Chief among them is the lack of focus and pacing of the story told. I wish all the relevant characters had been together so that we could get a single coherent narrative instead of four different parallel stories.

That being said, I can't say I didn't enjoy what I got. Salvatore still does what he does best, and while the journey of the characters isn't as fulfilling, the characters themselves are always a joy to watch.
