Jennifer Eivaz is a minister and an international conference speaker with a heart to equip the church in the supernatural and for raising up passionate and effective prayer. She is a regular contributor to Charisma Online and The Elijah List, has been featured on several Christian television shows, hosts the popular podcast Take Ten with Jenn, and has authored several bestselling books. This is such a beautiful written book! I learned a lot about my prayer life. My biggest take away was the power that our prayers have, and also the attitude that we come from it. I loved that the author after every chapter guided us to reflex about our prayers. I also learned a lot about my authority in prayer, and how to did deeper while playing.

Even with the great number of books that I’ve read on prayer this book did not disappoint. There was a refreshing newness and authenticity contained in it and plenty of gems even for seasoned intercessors. God is not withholding His clear promises from you. Rather, there is something you do not understand about His Word or about the spiritual realm. God always has the answer, but we do not always know how to appropriate it. p. 14The Intercessors Handbook proceeds to show you how to do just that—how to appropriate His promises. Friendship and fellowship between God and man look as unique as each individual. p. 27No, only-one-way-to-pray model in this book—-you are free to be yourself and I say, thank God for that. God, in His sovereignty, restrains Himself from action until He’s heard our voice in prayer. Not only will He respond to our prayers, but also He responds immeasurably more than all we can ask or imagine. p. 31With this quote and much more, Ms. Eivaz emphasizes the importance of prayer. God does not override our will and authority in the earth’s sphere. We have been charged with inviting the will of God into the earth, and when we fail to do so, God’s will does not happen. Many Christians, unaware of this truth, give their spiritual authority away on many levels. p. 46 Unanswered prayers are the result of not knowing or understanding spiritual laws that are tucked away in the Word of God and revealed to us in the place of prayer. p. 59Here, she continues to explain the authority we have in Christ and how to use that in prayer and not to let the enemy get away with everything that he usually gets away with.Ms. Eivaz continues with quite a bit of information on the spiritual realm and how to engage the angels to help you which is exactly the sort of information that is sorely lacking from most other books on prayer or intercession. She also includes a chapter on prophetic intercession, and how to pray “intelligently”.If you are an intercessor this book is for you. Even if you are a seasoned intercessor this book will fuel you with encouragement and perhaps even give you a new truth or two! If you are new to intercession, this book will help you get started as it is not only deeper truths, but includes lots of basics. If you are a born again Christian with the Holy Spirit living inside of you, then YOU are an intercessor.
