About this audiobook
Cassie Palmer is the Pythia, chief seer of the supernatural world. John Pritkin is a half demon and a legendary war mage. Mircea Basarab is a first-level master vampire and the general of the World Vampire Senate. Each is formidable enough alone. But they recently discovered that, together, they are far more than the sum of their parts. With their power combined through a perilous spell, they are the closest thing left on Earth to one of the ancient gods.
That comes in handy considering that the old gods are exactly what the supernatural community is currently fighting. But now, their triumvirate has been torn apart. Mircea and Pritkin are lost in Faerie, with Mircea pursuing a personal mission five hundred years in the making. Meanwhile Cassie finds herself facing down an ancient adversary on her own. To survive, the three must find a way to come together, even worlds apart, and take their union to a new level.
Contains mature themes.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Awesome book, the narrator however is terrible, it is impossible to engage in the story as she sounds like a robot or a really bad version of a text-to-speech. Enunciating the oddest words so as to ruin the natural flow of the sentences. I couldn't listen to more thank 10 minutes before stopping it. I read the book instead ?

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I don't write reviews very often for audiobooks, but I am in this case to give a warning.....The narrator for this is awful. Very monotone and automated sounding. I saw a recommendation from another reviewer that suggested listening to at 1.2x speed and that does help quite a bit.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5This narrator makes me feel like I am chewing tinfoil.
I started this book June 26, 2022 and had to take a break because it was bad. It is now January 10 and I need another break.
There is another book I tried with the same narrator and dnf'ed it. I thought it was the writing.... I think it was the narrator in retrospect.
