I'm not all that special, really. I'm sure there are a lot of girls with old gypsy blood who see the dead, have killer cults hunting their family, and turn into something that gets scary when they panic. Yep. I'm just an ordinary girl. I wish people would believe that.

It took my mother's death for me to finally start getting answers about what's really been going on. Unfortunately, most of the answers come from men . . . who aren't just men. The audiobook is missing the second half of each chapter

I think this book is even better than Four Psychos from same author. It's funny and original. Sookie 2.0 monster style. I hope I don't get bored with this serie like I got with 4 Psychos after 2 books. It's fine line... writing multiple books with story line that just continues on. It can get boring instead of gripping and then you just don't care what happens to the characters you used to love.

I'd heard great things about this series long before I finally listened to it, and it certainly lives up to the hype. The characters are all great and the story is really interesting and unique. There is such rich world-building and I love how things are slowly being revealed to Violet and the reader together as she learns more about the world of the monsters. Anna, her ghost best friend, might be one of my favourite side characters ever! Can't wait to listen to the rest of the series! The narrators are really great too. I especially love the guys' voices.

The story is awesome. The narrator is awful. Her main voice is great, her other accents meander from brit to west Queens, to Northern Michigan. It takes from the story so much I'd rather just read it.

I really enjoyed the build of this story. Only book 1 and so much more to discover. I feel the frustration of the main character. Love the ghost and love the humour. No sexy time in this book. Maybe it will show up later.

Great start, very funny!Gypsy Blood (All the Pretty Monsters Book 1) by Kristy Cunning is a funny and clever book with all kinds of creatures living in one area. One gypsy comes to town to take over her mom's business after her mom is murdered. Many monsters want her dead but no one will tell her why. Lots of action and hilarious fun along the way. She is saddled with a horny ghost too! Pure hilarity!
