I love stories about the gods and I love stories that have juicy romance, but unfortunately i was disappointed with this book in both aspects. The sex was frequent (even at times i felt were not normal/natural, but they were all very similar. I would expect a god like Hades to be a little more creative in the bedroom... and i felt that every internal struggle with communication was essentially the same. Hades does something to help/protect Persephone, she gets mad he doesn't tell her about it. Over and over it repeated the whole book. I would like to see more god like displays and less basic human drama.

I’m far from a prude but was there anything to this book other than sex, fighting and more makeup sex? I was looking for a bit more storyline. I actually got to a point where when yet another sex scene played I’d just fast forward.

I like Hades POV story much better. It has story, world building and action. I hate whenever Persephone comes into the scene. I wanted to slap her silly many times throughout the book. Too many sex scenes, as if she is good for nothing else. She is either whiney brat or s.. toy or both at some point.

Didnt love this second book, they’re always fighting, it gets exhausting.
