I think this book would have been better with a different narrator. She made the characters sound whiney and childish when the subject matter is quite serious and her accents were terrible, it felt like either the book has been heavily edited or the auther just rushed it,I did consider not finishing as is was annoying but the premis of the story was good. Although as a survivor of domestic violence I think some parts where not conducive to what a traumatised abused woman actually would do, ( telling everybody she meets about the violence she is enduring) but then again that's just my opinion.. also a policeman speaking to a colleague the way Connor did just would not happen. There is a lot about this book that just didn't ring true and even though it is a work of fiction some of the things in this book just went too far for me. Sorry!
Never the less it's worth a listen if you don't take it too seriously.
