Lisa Jewell is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors!! This one started a little slow, but once the pace picked up, it was quite a ride! I have really enjoyed all of her books thus far and can’t wait to listen to more. Great narration as well!!

This book broke me into a million pieces. So well written, and although a slow story, I can’t think of any details that could’ve been left out. This is one of those books that you finish and need a day or two to recover. Narration was wonderful too!

Dreadful, too long. I think a shorter version without the unnecessary complications would’ve been better.

Lisa Jewel has become one of my favorite writers of contemporary women in very challenging situations. The plot moves along briskly; the characters are fully human & the plot concluded with a satisfying twist.

Compelling story, gripping and solid writing. Jewel’s books are amazing but SO much blasphemy. Constant. I think this will be the last one of her books I’ll ever read. It just ruins it for me

This was my first book by Lisa Jewell, and I enjoyed it very much. The narrator did a great job and the storyline was very engaging and easy to follow. I look forward to my next chance to hear more from her.

Was a little hard for me to get into, but was hooked about 1/4 of the way in. I love the different point of views from the different characters. Great read.

I love Lisa Jewell’s books, how the plot and the psychological tension get developed, and by her character development. This was another excellent mystery, albeit sad.

Out of the ordinary, long and drawn out. Was not really a fan

Entertaining, well-written, and the violence and bad language were not gratuitous.

Very interesting and well written. Read in a day. My issue with this book is that it evolved into an unbelievable storyline. I can not imagine that a woman with young kids would take on a complete stranger with amnesia and not go to the police and hospital first

I'm a bit addicted to Lisa Jewell novels. There is always a good mystery - maybe two or three. Her characters are believable and imperfect with many flaws. I constantly try to solve the mysteries and this keeps my interest. Great entertainment!

Another excellent novel by Lisa Jewell. She doesn’t really write any books less than excellent.

I enjoy Lisa Jewell as a writer. I enjoy the way her stories have layers and differing threads and you wonder how it will resolve in the end. This story was intriguing about a man discovered on a beach with no memory of his life, by a woman in the area who has a life of her own but she takes him in. Another thread is the young Ukranian woman whose husband has gone missing. Are the stories related?

It was a bit hard to get into the story; not sure whether it’s because the narrator or the slow pace. It got better at the second half. It was okay story.

I couldn’t stand Lily; she came off a bit rude.

Great book!! I listened to this book and read it when I wasn’t listening. Had a little trouble with the narrator’s accent and felt as if I missed some details. Nevertheless, the story was interesting, mysterious and had me on the edge. Highly recommend.
