Heavy handed beginning with a big build up to a less then satisfying ending. I feel as though the author was juggling too many ideas and made a big swing, which for me was a miss in this first listen. May try again another time.

It's an Adam and even retelling. I would have not listened to it.

A short, haunting take on the Garden of Eden—the narrator did such a good job with all the voices and the eerie tone to the story.

Definitely helps if you know the basics of Christian mythos and who Lilith is before picking this one up

Interesting, but deeply deeply unsubtle. The metaphor could not be more on the nose if it tried.

I liked the first 2/3 of the book; it was mysterious and well written; I found the final part, the reveal, ridiculous; I think the author started with a good premise, then lost interest and decided to wrap it up.

This was a GREAT genre-bending novella. I loved that I was constantly invested and questioning what was going on. I normally guess endings and this one completely surprised me. Creepy, fascinating and kept me guessing! Loved it!

Twisty and unsettling while still being something I could hand to a high school student. I sort of wish I could read it in class to unpack all the parts. The ending is heavy handed, but I think there is a significant population that would miss the point if it were not 100% clear. It wasn’t until the very end that I “got it”.

Clever. Wholly original, even if it did have notes of STEPFORD WIVES early on. Cool concept.

This book was simultaneously deeply unsettling and entertaining. It is best if you go into this text without really knowing what’s going on beyond the book blurb. Afterwards, I suggest watching an interview with the author about the book or reading about the inspiration for this book.

Interesting take on an old classic. Tale as old as time. Worth a listen, short and sweet.
