Readers find this title to be a cute short read with believable characters and a story of young love. The book explores family problems and alcoholism. The angsty friends-to-lovers plot is emotionally engaging, and the transition between years is well done. The story plot was pretty good. I liked how the author transitioned between the years. The three stars is because of the lack of capturing true emotion. It was just hard to become invested in either of these characters.
