About this audiobook

Should they risk their friendship for a chance at love?

Alannah Bailey is tired of being the boring best friend of Trenton Johnson and decides on a makeover. After the changes, she starts dating, but instead of being happy, Trenton acts like he wants to keep her under lock and key.

Trenton is used to partying and having his pick of women. Such an advantage comes with the Johnson name, their money, and his own good looks. When he needs downtime, he depends on his best buddy, Alannah. But he doesn’t like the changes he sees in her lately, and by the time he figures out why, it might be too late.

Note to Reader: This story takes place during the same timeframe as Perfect, Book 2 of the Johnson Family series.

These books are a fun escape.

Trenton’s discomfort when Alannah steps up her game in the looks department kept me laughing out loud. He was so pitiful and yet so endearing. For future books, I would be interested to see if author Delaney Diamond delves deeper into how he might heal from his past. My gut tells me there is more to uncover than what came out here. Whether it's Alannah or the next woman, I would hate to see his partners tasked with the responsibility of keeping him balanced.

This is my 3rd book by Delaney Diamond. The narration is very good, though I wonder what a narrator of color would bring to the table. Cultural things get missed here and there because...well-- you don't know what you don't know. Despite that, the acting chops of the narrator made up the difference for me.

This book is pretty steamy in some parts. Romance readers will be please, but if that’s not your thing...you’ve been warned!

Terrible narration. Book might be decent but can’t get passed the awful narrator. Very robotic.

What a lustful pair the friends to lover thing makes Alanna too needy and make her character left a lot to be desired Trenton I think is a little over the top but all in all a another good read
