About this audiobook

“At the heart of our universe, each soul exists for God, in our Lord.”
– Pierre Teilhard de Chardin (The Divine Milieu)

Take an unforgettable retreat with Teilhard de Chardin’s masterpiece: The Divine Milieu. A Jesuit priest and scientist, Teilhard’s powerful vision of the universe has influenced countless spiritual seekers. Written in the 1920’s but published posthumously, The Divine Milieu is a spiritual work at once cosmic and personal. Mapping the horizons of transcendence and intimacy, it illuminates the boundless contours of our true nature and home in God.

Now, this retreat invites you to reflect upon Teilhard’s timeless thought. Presented by gifted professor, Teilhard expert, and author, Sr. Kathleen Deignan, C.N.D., this 6-conference series will transform your spiritual imagination and cosmic consciousness. An accomplished musician, Sr. Deignan weaves her beautiful, acclaimed music in with her profound exploration of The Divine Milieu. You are invited to nurture the “cosmic contemplative,” deepen your Christic life, and serve the world with greater enlightenment and soul.

In this retreat, you will explore the profound paradoxes of Teilhard’s evolutionary spirituality. Orienting you through the landscape and inscape of the Sacred, Teilhard will challenge you to visit the mystical terrain of your cosmic neighborhood. Illumined by his wisdom, you will venture on an itinerary he walked before us.

With the spiritual master Teilhard as your guide, you will encounter the sacred dimensions of the evolving cosmos and the interior terrain of the evolving human soul. (Photograph courtesy of the Foundation of Teilhard de Chardin)

So much ass kissing, and boot licking for a man who simply stated what countless millions of people everywhere already knew. That science is a child of faith hence all that follows. All de Chardin did was state the obvious but it was his audience- to a bunch highly conceited self absorbed men, many who still think “God” speaks only through them, a argument proven by their ordination- that proved critical. Their Reginald rebuke of de Chardin would soon be met with progressive scientific thought and discoveries have supported many of de Chardin’s “blasphemous” rants and raves, effectively forcing the ivory towered cumulus clergy to reconsider the issues without their cocks in hand. And not a moment to soon as I can only shudder to think that our previous nazi pope was voted in by the last of the anti de Chardin vanguard. But having put their cocks away, and the addition of new cardinals in their ranks as the old farts expire, there is suddenly hope for tomorrow given who they elected as pope. Pope Francis rocks and de Chardin would approve as would Francis approve of de Chardin.

No doubt in years to come de Chardin will be elevated to status of Doctor of the Church if he has not already been. But to bring my point how me, that de Chardin is celebrated today is not because his ideas were so revolutionary but that as a priest, especially one with the credentials of a Jesuit and at a time when DNA and smashing the atom were within the psyche of the Illuminati, , he used his “pulpit” to espouse ideas that were already present but censored. So the greatest lesson from de Chardin maybe that we should stand up for our convictions. But seeing this start out this conference by boot licking de Chardin, they completely miss the point.
