THE PATH TO HUMANS ON EARTH PART THREE OBJECTIVES OF BEING ON EARTH

There are only a few people who clearly perceive what is actually important, what really matters with regards to life on earth. Most people have no understanding of the causes of today’s swollen tide of chaotic conditions, not to mention the foresight to adequately prepare for the upcoming changes. Here at the outset, it is important to realise that this earthly life is a necessity for the spiritual development of the human being. This is the sole purpose. The more spiritually developed a person is, the more he or she is bestirred intuitively to seriously seek the Truth and the ‘meaning of life’. The person who is absorbed in fluctuations of mundane, everyday challenges has little inner strength to make the effort.

We human beings consider ourselves personalities with a free will and ensuing responsibility for our actions and inhabiting the earth in an embodiment with its physical senses. How is it possible that we have lost knowledge of the ultimate objective of being on earth? It is understandable when we consider that we have allowed ourselves to focus on purely earthly needs and dismissed everything ‘beyond’ and ‘eternal’ as unnecessary. Our horizon became restricted to the narrowly limited earthly time-and-space conceptions. Not only do we thereby not admit into the human world of meaning and value the recognition of the immutable Cosmic Laws that express the Will of God spanning, maintaining and furthering all that exists in the whole Creation, but our soul was also therefore not ready to open up to this knowledge. For striving to live in the consciousness of the knowledge of the self-acting Laws of Creation means living a full spiritual existence. Thus it is necessary to know exactly what the spirit is in a person.

It is safe to say that suffering is the dominant theme of human history. This history is a long succession of disasters, wars, revolutions and invasions, where murder, theft and plunder were given free rein, while vengeance was vigorously nursed and promoted in between conflicts. As far back as one looks in the course of time, to the story of Cain and Abel – allegorically the first human children – suffering remains. It is the driving force behind people’s actions and is also the result of these actions.

It is the Will of God that man should absolutely develop an individuality of his own, with the most pronounced awareness of his responsibility for his thoughts, volition and actions!
Grail Message

Our life is, for the better part and no matter the veneer of civilisation, bedevilled by the paradox that each one of us carries within him both the beautiful trait, registered in the depth of our being, the search for happiness, for unceasing bliss, which is the goal of all our visible or hidden aspirations, countered by the reprehensible blood-and-body-consuming dimension that can cause suffering and evil. Where does this duality, this terrible discord in the human organism, come from? How does this dichotomy arise, between what man strives for with all the fibres of his being and what he allows to happen, and from which he often reaps unhappiness and suffering?

When you arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive – to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.
Marcus Aurelius

Before starting with any explanation, it is necessary to know exactly what the spirit really is in a person. The spirit is the essence, the core of the human being, the driving force behind the physical person that evolves the conciousness of self. Being self-aware makes us know what we are thinking and feeling. We do more than the journey from ape to human pertains solely to the body, which cloaks the different consistency of the inner being. The spirit is man’s true, actual self, not the earthly body! The spirit is a luminous spark from an eternal source, an autonomous, immaterial consistency, to which the capacity of volition and self-consciousness inseparably belong.
