    Patrick Rothfuss

    Patrick Rothfuss was born in Wisconsin where long winters and lack of cable television brought about a love of reading and writing. His mother read to him as a child, and his father taught him to build things. If you are looking for the roots of his storytelling, look there. He still lives in central Wisconsin, still lacks cable television, teaches at the college he grew to love as a student and the long winters force him to stay inside and write.

      The great adventures Kwoth had throughout the books. I love fantasy, and Patrick Rothfuss delivers. The ending was disappointing, however, with Kwoth beaten, in part, because of a betrayal by his apprentice. It ended saying Kwoth was slowly dying. Since publication in 2011, fans have been begging for a new book. The author wrote a novella about Ari, another character in the series, but I didn’t finish it because it got too predictable. He published another novella about his apprentice, Bas, last fall. I plan to read it, but it’s not about Kwoth, so I’m not that excited about it.
