About this series

Ex-Navy SEAL Nolan Kilkenny receives a desperate plea for help from doctors frantic to save the life of a young boy with a deadly genetic disorder. The boy, who came to his parents through a blind adoption, has no known blood relatives. Nolan agrees to help, but as he is being prepped for surgery, the boy dies. Further genetic testing then reveals an astonishing truth: Nolan and the boy share the same biological father. Nolan must confront his own father to find out the truth behind the discovery, and uncovers a heinous blackmail plot and desperate victims and villains.

Undeniable, the sixth Nolan Kilkenny thriller from Tom Grace, takes Nolan into the brave new world of reproductive technology, where the building blocks of life are manipulated in a Petri dish, women lease their wombs like rental properties, and money trumps morality. In an age of rapid advances in human genetics, cloning and stem cell research, what seemed impossible just a few years ago is now a reality. DNA has been reduced from a miraculous molecule into a data storage device, and the information it contains is as easy to hack as any computer file. Undeniable is a novel that steps beyond the traditional parent-child relationship into a chilling new reproductive reality.

In 1948, a young German emigre reaches the threshold of a scientific vision: a theory of everything - the very blueprints for the construction of the universe. Then his dreams of a future in America collide with the horrors of his past, and both he and his research are seemingly lost forever. More than half a century later, an American scientist at the University of Michigan unveils a new source of energy. The invention - a quantum power cell - is still in the experimental stage, but has the potential to radically reconfigure the economy by making traditional forms of energy production obsolete. Halfway around the globe, Russian billionaire Victor Orlov bankrolls a competing quantum project. In a race to claim the patent and reap the financial rewards, he knows that beyond developing his own technology he must force the Americans to terminate their research. In what could become the greatest theft of all time, Orlov organizes mercenaries, spies, and the Russian Mafiya to seize the secrets he needs. When the battle for Quantum technology explodes, Nolan Kilkenny finds himself at ground zero. In order to stop Orlov from stealing the future, Kilkenny has to fight a war across two hemispheres - as he races to solve a mystery that has gone unanswered for more than fifty years. A story of men and women forced to make impossible choices, Quantum hurls us into the dangers of the twenty-first century, a place where human courage may still be the most unpredictable and potent force of all.

Inspired by true events, masterful storyteller Tom Grace delivers his most provocative novel yet. In The Secret Cardinal, ex-Navy SEAL Nolan Kilkenny returns in an adventure that races from the grandeur of the Vatican across the vastness of Asia, ultimately involving China, the Mafia, and the conclave of cardinals that will elect the next pope. When Kilkenny is invited to Rome to consult on the functioning of the Vatican Library, he is still grieving the death of his wife and son and welcomes the distraction of the seemingly simple assignment. But Pope Leo XIV has a startlingly different task in mind for him. In a private audience, Kilkenny learns of an unreported atrocity committed against the underground Church in China and its link to Yin Daoming, the long-imprisoned Bishop of Shanghai who has served thirty years of a life sentence in a Chinese laogai for refusing to renounce the Church of Rome. The aging pope then reveals the dangerous truth about Bishop Yin, a secret that he has kept for over twenty years. Decades of diplomacy have failed to end China’s persecution of the Catholics loyal to the pope, or to free Bishop Yin. The pope wants Yin free and asks Kilkenny to devise a plan to accomplish this seemingly impossible task. With help from the U.S. president, American Special Forces, and the C.I.A., he assembles a team of ten men and one woman that will use some of the most advanced weapons, aircraft, and computer technology to execute this extraordinary mission. Filled with fascinating detail about the history, politics, and people of China and the Roman Catholic Church, and the clever advanced technology and weaponry that have become hallmarks of a Tom Grace novel, The Secret Cardinal charges relentlessly toward an unexpected and unforgettable conclusion.
