Description

This week we are doing something differently on The Adventure Paradox Podcast. As we host 10 authors LIVE on social media over the next two weeks, we will not necessarily be streaming our Monday minisode.  Instead, it may be recorded over the weekend, like this one was, on my iPhone!Writing is an incredible portal to the soul and what it is we are really feeling. I love supporting people to get in to their actual feelings (Feel The Feelings!) without trying to override or change them. But sometimes it is tricky... it takes time to really understand why we feel a certain way and not bypass bad feelings for the "good vibes only" thing. Enter: journaling, and not just for a few minutes, but for close to an hour. Our next guest on the show, coming up this weekend, Anna K. Morris, shares the 45 minute writing practice (come back to heat the rest of what she has to share!). This inspired my own journey in to this particular sensation, or feeling, and the idea of "writing through it" to get to the source of the "Oh."What is the thing you don't want to write about? Set a timer for 45 minutes - no distractions, and GO. This Podcast returns us to the wisdom of our great grandparents and ancestors who likely worked with horses, mountains and dogs daily. Each episode contains actionable tools, tips and stories for modern day families and people to connect with nature through animals, as we have done for millennia. The work is a reflection of the truth about who we were, who we are, and who we might become if we only take the time to listen and work together with horses, mountains and dogs to grow mentally, physically, and spiritually one day at a time.
