Description

For Mother's Day, I am dropping one of my favorite interviews to date with a fisherman, rancher, horseman & former spy, Bayard Fox.  Bayard sat down to share stories of his life a week after his 94th birthday with me, and they are all indicative of "a life well lived," as the subtitle of his book states. Bayard was 93 when he published his memoir, title Rancher, Fisherman, Horseman, Spy (see link to buy it and read it yourself below!).Before reading Bayard's book, I knew that we were kindred spirits, but this conversation was an absolute joy, like taking a ride down the trail with an old friend! We touch upon the moment he left his job working for the government to eventually pursue a career owning a guest ranch in Wyoming, and the unexpected injury that detoured him to the Solomon islands. Bayard's ability to see and embrace opportunity at ever turn will leave you inspired in whatever chapter you are in in life. His life lessons on how to stay alive, and live well may help you see where you might do this in your own life, too.Throughout this episode, you'll learn about the adventures and challenges that Bayard faced.  Whether you're an outdoors enthusiast, or simply someone who enjoys hearing about life's adventures, this podcast is not to be missed.  If you'd like to follow up withe Bayard in person, click on the link below to book a trip to their dude ranch. I worked there briefly in my twenties and it is one of the most spectacular pieces of property I have ever seen, and has the very best horse program in the country that I have seen thus far. Some of Bayard's stories explain why.Links to Bayard's book and guest ranch:Fisherman, Rancher, Horseman, Spy: True Stories of a Life Well-Lived - https://a.co/d/6r2eVsjBitterroot Ranch: https://www.bitterrootranch.com/about-us/Links to work with Cat Caldwell Myers LLC:I am currently accepting applications in to my signature summer program. Email me to learn more: catcaldwellmyers@gmail.comJoin my email waitlist for my own book launch and receive a free meditation here:www.catcaldwellmyers.comFollow my journey on social media:Horses, Mountains & Dogs Podcast Facebook PageHorses, Mountains & Dogs Virtual RanchSupport the show

This Podcast returns us to the wisdom of our great grandparents and ancestors who likely worked with horses, mountains and dogs daily. Each episode contains actionable tools, tips and stories for modern day families and people to connect with nature through animals, as we have done for millennia. The work is a reflection of the truth about who we were, who we are, and who we might become if we only take the time to listen and work together with horses, mountains and dogs to grow mentally, physically, and spiritually one day at a time.
