Description

In this episode, Lina is going to be talking about her eating disorder journey and how it’s affected motherhood and shown up in my motherhood journey.  This episode may be triggering to those who have a history of eating disorders or who currently have an eating disorder. She references anorexia, body dysmorphia, and disordered eating. If you’re not ready to hear this story, bookmark it for a later date when you’re ready. Lina is 33 years old and the mom of a 2 year old. Her eating disorder started at 13 years old. She struggled with anorexia throughout high school and then adopted disordered eating habits throughout college. She binge ate and then became orthorexic in her 20s. Lina shares that she's not sure that someone ever truly recovers from an eating disorder. She shares that while throughout pregnancy and postpartum she was okay with her body changing, most recently she's dipped into old eating disorder habits. Mentioned in this Episode:Huberman Lab: HEALTHY EATING & EATING DISORDERS – ANOREXIA, BULIMIA, BINGING In this episode, Lina mentions the diet culture of the 2000s.
