BYU's Noah Waterman led his team with 17 points and three rebounds, while Jaxson Robinson added 10 points, four assists, and three boards. Fousseyni Traore, coming off the bench, scored 7 points, including a crucial layup with 3:17 remaining that narrowed the gap to 3 points. Houston faced a scoring drought for over two minutes, marked by three turnovers in a three-minute span. Despite trailing 69-68 in the final minute, BYU couldn't capitalize. Trevin Knell missed a key 3-pointer before fouling out with 8 points and six rebounds. Emanuel Sharpe made both free throws, securing Houston's third consecutive victory and its second against a top-25 opponent. Aly Khalifa contributed 8 points, five rebounds, and three assists for BYU, which now holds a 14-5 record in the Big 12.
