Unfortunately, our society doesn't value being wrong. In the current political climate, it's easy to get called out and to get labeled all kinds of things. But being wrong is the most important thing we can do as authors and members of society. This is how we get things right in the end. Writing, particularly, offers a lot of opportunities to be wrong. But only by being wrong first can we be right, so we should embrace writing and grow as people.
