Thursday's episode of the Locked On Fantasy Hockey Podcast features a continuing look into a breakdown and ranking of all the divisions in the NHL. Next up, the Metropolitan Division, a division absolutely stacked with elite defensive teams, top goalies, and franchise's ready to take that next step forward to winning a Stanley Cup.

Aside from the bottom of the Metro that is almost assuredly to be occupied by the Philadelphia Flyers, sorry Torts, this division is going to see a lot of jockeying for positioning in the seventh through fourth seeds, which means teams like the New Jersey Devils, Columbus Blue Jackets, and Washington Capitals are likely to be on the outside looking in come playoff time next year.

With that said, there is still a ton of fantasy value across all of those teams, so make sure you have your eyes on players like Jack Hughes, Dawson Mercer, Patrik Laine, and others. In terms of the toast of this division, those teams are the Pittsburgh Penguins (we see you, Tristan Jarry), New York Islanders, Carolina Hurricanes, and of course, New York Rangers. Top goalie options aplenty in the Metro, just have to pick the right one!
