Puck drop on the NHL season is only a little over two months away, that means it's time for some bold hockey takes and spicy fantasy predictions for the 2022-23 season of what is sure to be exciting hockey across the league.

Flip has a number of bold takes including his opening prediction that the Detroit Red Wings are a playoff team next season on the heels of a summer that saw the team add the likes of Andrew Copp, David Perron, Ville Husso and others - making them a must-watch team for fantasy value as well.

Steele thinks the Nashville Predators will be a much-improved team and finish top-5 in the NHL next season behind a tough blue-line and a healthy Juuse Saros in net. He also expects both the New York Islanders and New York Rangers to take a step forward, especially the Islanders who he pegs to finish in a top-3 spot in the ever-tough Metro Division.
