Olga Connolly is an Olympic gold medalist, who triumphed during the 1956 games in Melbourne. She threw the discus for her home country, Czechoslovakia. During the competition, she fell in love with, and later married, American athlete Harold Connolly – a controversial move at the height of the Cold War.
