Description
Deion Sanders is sure to feel a personal connection to Colorado's upcoming rivalry game against Colorado State this week. During his weekly radio show, Rams coach Jay Norvell made a pointed comment about Sanders' habit of wearing hats and sunglasses during news conferences, stating firmly, "I don't care if this reaches Boulder. I made it clear to them [ESPN]—I removed my hat and glasses. I mentioned, 'When I converse with adults, I remove my hat and glasses. That's what my mother taught me.'"
The remark garnered applause from the live audience and the show's host, Brian Roth, the voice of Colorado State football on radio. It didn't take long for Sanders to catch wind of these comments.
In a video titled "Coach Prime & The CU Buffs Respond to Lil Bro," shared on YouTube by Well Off Media, managed by Deion Sanders Jr., the Colorado coach is seen addressing his team during practice.
"While I was diligently studying film, preparing to give my best as a coach, I stumbled upon some unwarranted remarks they made about us, once again," Sanders expressed to his team. "Why would they choose to talk about us when we don't engage in such discussions? Our sole focus is putting in the hard work and delivering on Saturdays. However, when they provide us with ammunition, they've unintentionally made it personal."
