Description
Being a parent has helped me heal from many traumatic events in my childhood. I had to really think about what I needed as a child and how I could do things differently. In this episode of Dem Bois Podcast, I share some of the verbal and physical abuse I faced, some of the things I didn’t want to repeat as a parent, and some things I did want to bring into the relationship with my child. Remember, you can’t help what your parents did to you, but you do have the power to heal from it. The generational trauma can stop with you!I talk:My relationship (or the lack of) with my dad as a child - 6:53Meeting my son for the first time - 15:42My youtube channel - 25:15Remembering how I felt when my mom didn’t communicate with me - 34:14The importance of loving your child(ren), telling them and showing them - 43:27 Healing from generational trauma - 59:18Click here for the transcript!Episode ReferencesMy Youtube Channel Instagram Post about healing and trauma by @roznyc Are you enjoying the Dem Bois Podcast?
