Description

This week I talk about distractions, and how they divert your attention away from the work you are here to do.  There are distractions everywhere - Instagram, Netflix, coffee breaks, unprecedented sunshine (here in the UK), the ongoing narrative around COVID-19 and Black Lives Matter, to name just a few. The distraction I draw your attention to today is the Diversity Distraction. In other words, the lack of gender, racial or other diversity in your workplace, community or around you.  Like other distractions, the Diversity Distraction is valid. But it doesn’t serve you because it takes away your power. All that energy and focus you are directing towards the problem, would be so much better served by directing it towards a solution.  Mentioned in this episode: Episode #52: Thought Drama Episode #14: Delayed Gratification Episode #60: The One Thing
