Description
Your body is one of your best guides. You body holds onto emotion…your body hangs onto unresolved feelings…your body fires up and shuts down. Evolving means learning to listen to the signals of your body and adapt to it’s needs in addition to your goals.
Just over a year ago I met today’s guest and he took me through an assessment process and then, over the course of several months worked on me to reactivate muscles that were shut down and not working.
What a minute Steve…what do you mean he worked on muscles that were shut down? Well you see the body is amazing at generating movement. And…when some muscles are too tight, too loose, too painful the body will still create the movement, but in a more dysfunctional way. Learning to move properly means you have to get the muscles and movement patterns working correctly so you can move and be healthy for life. And today’s guest is here to talk about how.
BIO
Dr. Eric Danielson is a Doctor of Chiropractic who specializes in the innovative technique of muscle activation. Having extensively studied muscles and how they relate to injury, he has become an expert in treating sports injuries and helping athletes of all levels achieve their peak performance.
Dr. Danielson’s journey into chiropractic care began when he was being treated for sports injuries as a student athlete. Traditional chiropractic adjustments, while effective, weren’t enough to completely get him over an injury to his low back. It wasn’t until he was treated with muscle activation that he was able to completely heal from his injury. After experiencing the benefits of muscle activation firsthand, he knew he had found his calling and became dedicated to learning everything he could about the role muscles play in sports injury and how this cutting-edge therapy can help athletes recover from their own injuries.
Dr. Danielson attributes muscle activation to his success in treating a wide range of athletes, including bodybuilders, professional athletes, and youth athletes. His approach to the body is unique, not relying on the traditional chiropractic model for treatment. He considers muscles to play a much larger role in pain and disfunction and by focusing on activating muscles he provides effective, powerful, long-lasting results for his patients.
