Description
Arch Jelley is one of New Zealand’s greatest running coaches. He coached the great John Walker through his entire career and all the highlights that entailed including an Olympic gold medal in 1976 and 3 Commonwealth Games medals, over 100 sub 4 minute miles and the first man to run a mile in under 3.50.But this podcast has very little to do with running. I met Arch last year when he was 99 when we recorded a podcast and we have remained in touch since then. On the week of this podcast being released, Arch turns 101. So, I invited him back for a podcast where I would put YOUR questions to him.Arch is still in tremendous health, physically and mentally, so this was a real treat- it’s not often you get to pick the brains of someone who has seen and done so much and is still around and able to share that wisdom. I really enjoy spending time with Arch and I hope you guys do too. He really is a national treasure. Thanks to Radix Nutrition for sponsoring this episode.I start every day with a protein shake made with protein powder from Radix. They do the best flavors made with the best ingredients. They have just introduced 2 new flavor to their range – mango and blueberry. Like all their other flavors, these 2 don’t disappoint.Check out their incredible nutritional products at:https://radixnutrition.co.nz/ Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
