Description
Welcome back to the Sutta Meditation Series Podcast.
This is a GUIDED MEDITATION on the following contemplation:
"If it is impermanent (anicca), painful or suffering (dukkha), and subject to change (vipariṇāma), is it worth taking as me and mine?"
**We examined this as part of looking into the contemplation of the five aggregates subject to clinging as 11 characteristics in the Sīlavanta Sutta (SN 22.122).
This is a very powerful contemplation that carefully directs the mind towards the right view (yoniso manasikāra), using the primary characteristics the Buddha would normally teach and then follow up with questions.
If you are new to this type of contemplation, there may be some resistance that arises during this guided meditation. If you can, do try to persist. If we ever want to get out this predicament (it can be likened to a constructed prison,) we can't gently break out or go softly-softly, there needs to be some force and conviction to overcome all the barriers and traps.
To read the Sīlavanta Sutta (SN 22.122) - https://suttacentral.net/sn22.122/en/sujato
Bohoma pin to the person who requested this guided meditation.
Blessings of the Triple Gem. Theruwan saranai.
