Description
Welcome back to the Sutta Meditation Series Podcast.
This is a GUIDED MEDITATION ON LOVING KINDNESS (METTA) for our YOUNGER AUDIENCE, based on the Buddha's Teaching of the Karaniyametta Sutta (Sn1.8).
We develop loving kindness (metta) in 15 steps, like going to METTA SCHOOL, using the grading system as a way to gradually develop the virtues and qualities of loving kindness.
Find a comfortable sitting position (on a chair or on a cushion on the floor). Follow the instructions in the guided meditation. You can begin meditating with your eyes open. Eventually when you become more familiar and skilled at this meditation, you can meditate with your eyes closed.
If you need the more detailed explanation of the meditation, you can look at this Dhamma session on our Sutta Meditation Series YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itCUvxILDIY
It's also good to make some of your own notes about the meditation steps and make an effort to memorise them.
Bohoma pin to the person/people who have asked for this guided meditation.
A VIDEO of this GUIDED MEDITATION with presentation slides has been uploaded to the Sutta Meditation Series YouTube Channel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_MR_bdSHMIc AND on Spotify as a video podcast
