The Golden Knights dropped yet another game on Saturday night as they fell to 8-8 on home ice. The VGK has now lost five of their last six home games. Reilly Smith, who we featured on Friday, had a pair of power play goals, but Logan Thompson gave up two five-hole goals in the 5-2 loss to the Islanders. The Golden Knights welcomed back star defenseman Alex Pietrangelo for the first time in 10 games. He told the media Friday that his daughter fell ill after Thanksgiving and he thanked the team and the community for the outpouring of support. Tonight, Alex Tuch returns to the Fortress. The Buffalo Sabres (0-3-1) have never won here in Las Vegas, but they are one of the hottest teams in the league. They have a high octane scorer in Tage Thompson. Buffalo has won the first two legs of their road swing and re 7-3-2 in their last 12 games.
