The Golden Knights third period woes continued for a second game as VGK fell to the Hurricanes 3-1 Saturday night. VGK allowed two Carolina goals in the third period. They have dropped two games in a row, after winning twice after the All-Star Break. Jonathan Marchessault, again, scored the lone VGK goal. The Marchessault line with Barbeshev and Roy has now scored in 11 straight games. VGK gave up a shorthanded goal in a 1 on 3 in the game. We said Friday that special teams would probably determine the outcome. VGK plays a President's Day matinee in San Jose at 1pm. Despite being in last place, the Sharks are 1-2 after the break and have lost twice by one goal. Tomas Hertl and Logan Couture are both out of the lineup for the Sharks due to injuries.
