VGK lost a seven round Shootout in Dallas Tuesday night in a 3-2 loss. The Golden Knights would have to win out and the Stars would have to lose twice to the Coyotes and Ducks on home ice. VGK would have to win twice to keep its faint playoff hopes alive. Logan Thompson was once again solid in net. William Carrier and Chandler Stephenson scored goals for VGK. Each goal coming late in the first and second periods. The Golden Knights blew two one-goal leads in the game. VGK's Logan Thompson injured his right leg but stayed in the game in a third period collision. Mark Stone still looked stiff and maybe aggravated his back injury when Brent Burns sat on top of him in Sunday's San Jose game. Max Pacioretty was knocked out of the game by a hip check and later returned. The Golden Knights complete the back-to-back in Chicago Wednesday night. They will be scoreboard watching the Stars-Coyotes game.
