Description

On the latest episode of All Things Covered, we welcome a guest that has been just as active after football as he was during his playing days. Brandon Marshall is all over right now, so we were lucky enough to chat with him about everything from mental health to the best wide receivers in the game in 2020. But before our chat with Brandon, Patrick and Bryant cover a ton as well. The election has dominated the news cycle and the results offer an important message for our hosts to be able to share with their kids (1:00). The Cardinals suffered a difficult defeat to the Dolphins on Sunday, as Pat breaks down some of Tua's success while also looking ahead to this week's matchup vs. the Bills (4:00). How much longer does P2 have left in the league? He answers that and also dissects what's happening in the NFL at the moment (22:30) including JJ Watt possibly seeking a trade, Golden Tate being benched by the Giants and (former ATC guest) JuJu Smith-Schuster being denied a touchdown celebration. It's rivalry week as Pat remembers his favorite LSU-Alabama moment (30:45). It's also Masters Week so we had to give our official picks. Then, we turn our attention to our guest (39:15). Brandon Marshall is a 13-year NFL vet but he's also the founder of House of Athlete, a co-host on the I Am Athlete podcast, a co-host on First Things First on FS1 and an analyst on Inside the NFL. We cover it all, and he literally does it all. Pat and BMac's conversation with Brandon centers around post-football purpose and why there can still be great things to achieve after the glory days have ended. The guys discuss the heavy emphasis Brandon places on mental health for not only athletes, but the general public. Then, they get into that impressive 13-year playing career, breaking down Brandon's brief time playing safety in college, his relationship with former QB Jay Cutler, his record-setting 21-catch single game performance in 2009, the best WRs in the NFL today and the budding Mike Evans vs. Marshon Lattimore rivalry.

Titles in the series (100)

Patrick Peterson and Bryant McFadden have made a living for their coverage skills on the football field, and while it's a different technique, they're now applying those traits on their podcast 'All Things Covered'. Instead of wide receivers, tight ends and running backs, they'll be covering sports, entertainment, social issues, personal interests and more. Every Wednesday, the 8-time Pro Bowler Peterson and 2-time Super Bowl champion McFadden will discuss what's happening on the gridiron as well as what intrigues them off the field. Each week they'll welcome a star from the sports and entertainment world to have wide-ranging conversations about what interests them. Guests can include active or former football players but also athletes and influencers from other sports and walks of life. Football is how we know our hosts, but far from what defines Pat and BMac. The name says everything; expect all things to be covered! You can also watch us on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/AllThingsCovered
