Description

Fresh off a thrilling Sunday Night Football victory over the Seahawks, Patrick Peterson catches up with Bryant McFadden for Episode 6 of All Things Covered. And not only do we have Pat talking about that epic game, we have his new teammate, DeAndre Hopkins, to join the conversation as well. That comes a little later, but first, what music gets our hosts fired up when it's almost game time (1:00)? Next, where do we even start with Week 7 (4:30)...The end seems like a good spot, as the guys analyze overtime including Kliff Kingsbury's questionable decision to kick on 2nd down plus a huge play from rookie Isaiah Simmons, that P2 just so happened to predict pregame. The viral moment of the night and maybe the year belonged to DK Metcalf chasing down Budda Baker. What was running through Pat's mind as he was trailing the play? And does Budda deserve some slack? Pat locked down Metcalf and recorded another interception, but due to a few beautiful throws and catches from Russell Wilson and Tyler Lockett, it wasn't a perfect night. Hey, it happens to the game's greatest, so stop hating over a play or two. We get an informed breakdown of some more notable moments as well as how this bye week will look different than others. BMac and Pat then cover what else is happening around the NFL (27:00), including a season-ending injury for Odell Beckham Jr, Antonio Brown signing with the Bucs, anonymous Cowboys players calling out their coaches and some questionable criticism of Cam Newton delivered by former QB Jeff Garcia. Then, Nuk Hopkins joins the program (42:30). The guys have a wide-ranging conversation focusing on everything from his dominant days as a defensive back in high school, the NFL's social justice initiatives, his relationship (or lack thereof) with Bill O'Brien and budding relationship with Kyler Murray. DeAndre shares stories from growing up in South Carolina to attending Clemson to Houston and finally Arizona. Don't miss this episode!

Titles in the series (100)

Patrick Peterson and Bryant McFadden have made a living for their coverage skills on the football field, and while it's a different technique, they're now applying those traits on their podcast 'All Things Covered'. Instead of wide receivers, tight ends and running backs, they'll be covering sports, entertainment, social issues, personal interests and more. Every Wednesday, the 8-time Pro Bowler Peterson and 2-time Super Bowl champion McFadden will discuss what's happening on the gridiron as well as what intrigues them off the field. Each week they'll welcome a star from the sports and entertainment world to have wide-ranging conversations about what interests them. Guests can include active or former football players but also athletes and influencers from other sports and walks of life. Football is how we know our hosts, but far from what defines Pat and BMac. The name says everything; expect all things to be covered! You can also watch us on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/AllThingsCovered
