Description

Episode 4 of All Things Covered has arrived and it's a special one. Not only did Pat's and Bryant's Lakers capture the NBA title on Sunday (1:00)...Not only did the Cardinals take care of business against the Jets (5:35)...But we also got to have a conversation that doesn't happen very often. The guys are joined by BMac's former head coach, Mike Tomlin, of the currently 4-0 Pittsburgh Steelers (16:30). Before we get to Coach T, there's some catching up to do. P2 was traveling from the East Coast to the West Coast so he didn't get to see a second of Game 6, but obviously got good news once he landed. Are our co-hosts genuine fans or just part of the recent bandwagon? Then it's Cardinals Check-In as we discuss the false positive COVID-19 test that threatened Sunday's game, DeAndre Hopkins continuing to ball out and Chandler Jones' unfortunate injury. Next up is the Cowboys on Monday Night Football. Dak Prescott's injury was devastating to watch and definitely changes the game plan for Arizona heading into their primetime matchup. The new goal: make Andy Dalton beat you. After the break, Mike Tomlin hops on for a wide-ranging conversation on the Steelers' strong start, having Ben Roethlisberger back and how Pittsburgh keeps finding wide receiver gems. Tomlin has been around a lot of great defensive players during his career, but who are the very best? He also has some of the best quotes in the business, as we explore famous Tomlinisms as BMac likes to call them. The focus then shifts to minority coaches in the NFL, addressing changes that need to be made. It's a comfortable version of Coach you don't often get to see or hear, so don't miss it!

Titles in the series (100)

Patrick Peterson and Bryant McFadden have made a living for their coverage skills on the football field, and while it's a different technique, they're now applying those traits on their podcast 'All Things Covered'. Instead of wide receivers, tight ends and running backs, they'll be covering sports, entertainment, social issues, personal interests and more. Every Wednesday, the 8-time Pro Bowler Peterson and 2-time Super Bowl champion McFadden will discuss what's happening on the gridiron as well as what intrigues them off the field. Each week they'll welcome a star from the sports and entertainment world to have wide-ranging conversations about what interests them. Guests can include active or former football players but also athletes and influencers from other sports and walks of life. Football is how we know our hosts, but far from what defines Pat and BMac. The name says everything; expect all things to be covered! You can also watch us on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/c/AllThingsCovered
