The Cleveland Guardians keep winning and the Minnesota Twins keep losing so the guardians keep building up a bigger and bigger lead in the division. They are now up to a four-game lead in the central division. We also spend some time on Cal Quantrill who has now gone six or more innings without giving up a run in three of his last four starts. We also ask the question is for sure the number three starter on this team if they make the postseason. I mean when they make the postseason.

We dig into the Cleveland Guardians stellar game against the San Diego Padres. Jose Ramirez goes yard twice. Oscar Gonzalez also had his fifth home run of the year. Heck, even Myles Straw managed two hits as the Guardians beat the Padres 7-0. We talk about how the Guardians protected 12 prospects last offseason, and Gonzalez was not one of them. I explain why I am not completely sold on Oscar Gonzalez and take us back to the early 2000s and Karim Garcia. I also explain why it would be foolish to bet against him.

We preview the Seattle Mariners, a team with roughly the same record as the Cleveland Guardians. We all make jokes about the number of trades Jerry Dipoto has made, but at the same time, it is thanks to former Guardians pitcher Jerry Dipoto that the Mariners are contenders thanks to strong drafts and savvy deals.
