Description

Struggles, they can be pretty universal, but how do you overcome them? That’s the topic of conversation on this week’s episode of Thriving Women Artists. Join Sarah, Ping, and Dorien as they discuss their personal struggles and how they work to overcome them. Hopefully you’ll pick up some tips and tricks that can help you in your day-to-day life.

KEY TAKEAWAYS

Struggles can include, having too many ideas and not staying focused, time management and balancing work with family life, self-doubt, and not taking enough care of yourself.
The first step in overcoming your struggles is to acknowledge them. Stand still and notice the things you find easy and the things that you find difficult. Sarah documents these things and finds it easier to manage them that way.
Sometimes Ping forgets herself in the roles she has to play, as a woman, as a mother, as an artist. A lot of problems can start from not knowing who you are. The better you know yourself the better you can identify your struggles.
You can try using tricks to make the things you don’t enjoy feel more fun. Even if it’s something as simple as buying yourself some new art supplies.
You should always ask for help if you need it, not just asking others but also asking yourself for some down time or to remind yourself to take care of your needs.

BEST MOMENTS

‘Know your weakness but also know your strengths’
‘I create a support system, I say please help me’
