Description
As artists, we’re generally more sensitive and more in tune with our emotions and physical wellbeing. In this episode of Thriving Women Artists, Ping, Sarah, and Dorien will be giving you tips for making sure you take care of your own wellbeing and discussing the problems we may face as artists.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
It's important to work on your physical and mental health, not just when you’re struggling with it.
Get moving! As artists we aren’t very active in our working lives, so take breaks and make sure you do something physical, even better if it’s in the fresh air.
Keep hydrated during the day!
Think about your work space, you spend a lot of your time there. Why not invest in some ergonomic or comfortable equipment. Get a chair that properly supports your back.
If you are struggling with your mental health, don’t be afraid to ask for help. It might sound cliché but you’re not alone and other people feel the way you do.
BEST MOMENTS
‘There are so many deadlines to meet, but you only have one body to look after’
‘Trust that it won’t stay bad forever, there will be better days’
‘There are stages where you feel strong enough to share’
