Description
Today on the Lindsey Elmore Show, eight African American women will read the powerful words of Maya Angelou.
It has never been more important than now to hear from our black and brown friends about their experiences. Though conversations about our own biases and beliefs may be difficult, we must have these important conversations in order to push forward the dialogue. When systems are built to oppress some, it steals the vision of the future for all.
All lives cannot matter until Black Lives Matter. So despite hate, injustice, and discrimination, we are reminded by the powerful voices of these women that ‘up from a past that's rooted in pain,' they will rise.
In this special edition of the Lindsey Elmore Show, here is, “Still I Rise.”
