Description

Our Season 3 Premiere is here! Get excited because I had a wonderful chat with triple Olympic Medallist, WR holder and The Race Club co-founder - Gary Hall Snr.We talked about Gary's adventures at the Olympics, from naive kid in 1968 where he won a silver medal in the 400 IM, through to his bronze in the 100 fly in Montreal 12 years later.  He credits much of his success, and his coaching career to Doc Counsilman, who he trained under at Indiana University. We chatted about The Race Club, its evolution and current format and the wonderful joint initiative they have with US Masters Swimming.  Gary has great advice for all masters swimmers and 5 important areas to concentrate on in the lead up to competition. We also had a cheeky chat about Gary Hall Jnr and his swims at the Sydney Olympics! It was clear that Gary Snr, like all parents, is extremely proud of Gary Jnr and his efforts. And rightly so!You won't want to miss this podcast!Connect with Gary at:Website: https://theraceclub.com/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/theraceclubInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/theraceclub/Connect with Torpedo Swimtalk at:https://www.torpedoswimtalk.com/You can also view this recording on our YouTube Channel:https://youtu.be/Ao-7xwV2uP0
