The NHL season is a long one and teams are going to go through so rough patches. Right now is one of those moments for the Colorado Avalanche. If moral victories counted the Avs would add to their already league leading points total. But, they do not. The Avs played well and took every punch Carolina threw at them. Once the Avalanche settled in, they took control of the game for large parts. But nothing would go in.
It was a no call against a held Nazem Kadri that would lead to the first and only goal Carolina would need. Add an empty net goal and there is our final score.
