If the Avalanche and Coyotes were to play again and the Avs game out firing everything they had at Arizona, it's possible they hang 10 on the Yotes. But that's that happens when a goalie is locked in. Karel Vejmelka was on his game and allowed a single Devon Toews goal, then shut the doors.
The last thing the Avs wanted to do was head into the weekend with a loss. The Calgary Flames, one of the hottest teams in the league, come to town for the first time this season. But maybe a loss to one of the worst teams in the league will get the Avalanche fired up to find ways to get a few more pucks in the net.
