Description

Though the Texas Longhorns jumped out to a 2-0 lead and Estelle Czech held the Oklahoma Sooners offense at bay in the first three innings, the Sooners ultimately broke through in the fourth inning to tie the game and then erupted for four runs in each of the fifth and sixth innings to win their sixth national championship and second consecutive.

Jocelyn Alo was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Women's College World Series and Jordy Bahl battled back from injury to help the Sooners complete their title run. Kinzie Hansen and Grace Lyons launched three-run home runs and Jayda Coleman and the Sooners defense came up with clutch defensive plays throughout the game.

John Williams and Josh Helmer discuss what this title means for the legacy of Patty Gasso, Jocelyn Alo's place among the all-time greats in college softball, and Oklahoma's status as favorites for 2023 on this episode of Locked On Sooners.
