Description
The copywriting space is booming, but with so many writers from a ton of different industries moving into it, it's more important than ever before to set ourselves apart. Creating a personality for our brand is a great way to do that, but how can we make sure it still feels authentic to who we are? Assuming a character helps keep us top of mind for our clients, but it's only effective when it fits in with our existing personalities. Is there a way to strike a balance between the two? What can we do to ensure our work is a true reflection of us, our personalities, and our quirks? In this episode, Co-Founder of The Copywriter Club and self-proclaimed Copy Chef, Kira Hug shares how to build a business by being unique. Three Things You’ll Learn in This Episode How to take the plunge into the copywriting pool: Copywriters get a lot of work opportunities from other copywriters, so get in the same room as them and start building genuine relationships. The great thing is, it’s easier than ever before to get into those rooms because so many have moved online. What makes copywriting essential in any business: Without the right words to express our brands and what we stand for, no one will hear our voices. Great copywriting makes it easier to stand out in a sea of competitors. Why business owners should have a working knowledge of copywriting: It’s easier to give direction or edit when necessary when we have a general understanding of the processes that go into copywriting. Knowing the basics is a valuable skill for any business owner to have, so take the time to learn more about it. Guest Bio- Kira Hug is a conversion copywriter who specializes in personality-driven launch copy.
