    The Shadow Monster #5 Shankle’s Testament - X.R. Balzan

    Chapter 1

Since 1900, the town of Huton has been the source of all bad in NSW. Since the exorcism of ‘02, Huton was thought to be run by demons.

From 1902-1915, 237 kids from ages 7-13, were murdered and buried in the Glad. Bodies were found with pieces of flesh and parts cut out of them, and what seemed to be bite marks, which were untraceable, in many places of each body, sometimes two.

A hunt was formed in 1910, and victims of the dead came out of nowhere claiming ‘They left town’. About 40 of these, what people around town called them ‘undead’, were hunted and killed. They had to rip the heart out. The hunt ended in 1922, with about 9,475 people dying in the hunt (not including the 40 ‘undead’ that were killed).

Spotings of more of the ‘undead’ were spotted in the years 1932-1937. That was the end of the ‘undead’ era and on to a new one.

In 1922, the Jackline house was rented by, what the seller described, an unknown individual. All the windows seemed to be boarded down, the board hidden with silk white drapes that hung from a single stitch.

In 1903, Rose Jackline was found dead at her house, later in the search, reporters found out two years later that Rose’s body was a fake, being made out of real flesh. The Jackline house was under investigation in 1932, but by then, the person had moved out.

The last citings of a vampire or zombie-like creature were by two people. Beven Hugh in 1927, said that a tall lanky man was seen, with blood all over his mouth and body, walking out of the Jackline house, as blood was scraped across the floor. Jack Ikel in 1923 spotted a small elderly woman, with white hair and skin like a monster, appearing in the forest dragging what appeared to be a body across the ground in a black body bag. Police were sent to look for the body but after 2 months of looking, none were spotted.

Both of these events were connected somehow.

    Chapter 2

    Unpublished entries by Shankle Jackline.

    1904.
