The Shadow Monster #3 - X.R. Balzan
Chapter 1
New Zealand, North Island.
1997.
As Jaxon picked up the box with the small label ‘kitchen’, he slowly moved it towards the man who stood outside of his apartment. This fellow at the door was short and had a shiny bald head with grey hair at the sides. Jaxon had orange hair and a leather jacket, which was always unbuttoned and had a shirt under it.
Here,
Jaxon said as he passed the box to the moving person.
Is this all mr Yukie?
The man asked.
Yeah, that's it. Not that much.
The man started to move away with the box, as Jaxon headed into his room. The way to the room was long, but making his way to the small room, which was completely dark.
Jaxon reached for the light switch but something was there.
Who’s there!
Jaxon asked.
Nothing came from the room, no noise. As Jaxon reached for the light switch in the completely dark room, his hand seemed to go further into darkness.
A sudden force grabbed Jaxon, it felt like 5 knives pinching at his hand at once. Saliva seemed to spill down onto Jaxon's hand as he was grappled by two, gross, monstrous hairy hands.
Hello, Mr Yukie.
The voice was dark and low, kinda like the ones you will hear in a horror movie when the killer is slowly approaching the victim who was hiding in the wooden easily openable cupboard.
Who is this?
Jaxon asked.
Come on. Don’t you remember your father and his ole little tales?
The thing said.
Jaxon did not remember.
No!
Jaxon said. What do you want from me?
"Nothing.
