Death Came For Her - Samuel Ludke
Even if
In pursuit of wealth, he chose his path,
Leaving her behind, in love's aftermath.
Once entwined in dreams, their hearts beat as one,
Now torn apart, their bond undone.
For gold's allure, he bid farewell,
Her tears unseen, her silent knell.
Her love, like a river, flowed deep and true,
Yet his eyes were fixed on a different view.
Through the whispers of wind and the sighs of the night,
She mourned the loss, her soul taking flight.
But amidst the pain, a flicker of grace,
A strength within, a newfound embrace.
She rose from the ashes, forged anew,
Her worth not defined by what he pursued.
For love's true treasure lies not in gold,
But in the warmth of hearts, forever bold.
Though he may chase riches, fleeting and bright,
She found her riches in the depths of the night.
A love so pure, it could never decay,
Even as he chose to walk away.

18. Greed's grip, a relentless chain,
19. Sloth's lethargy, his silent plea,
20. Envy's sting, a constant decree.
21. In the face of sin, she found her plight,
22. Her brother's deeds, a shadow's blight,
23. Yet in her heart, a flicker of hope,
24. To break free from sin's tightening rope.
25. Envy's green hue tainted her view,
26. Lust's temptation, a dangerous brew,
27. Gluttony's feast, a never-ending chase,
28. Wrath's flames, leaving no trace.
29. Pride's tower, her brother's keep,
30. Greed's hunger, a darkness deep,
