Normal Childhood - Samuel Ludke
Joyous
The first hello, a bridge across the unknown,
A handshake firm, a smile shyly shown.
Introductions, a dance upon the brink,
Where strangers meet, and stories start to clink.
Names exchanged, like coins of first impression,
Titles held, a fleeting categorization.
Doctor, baker, student, writer's quill,
Each label paints a piece, yet leaves room for skill.
Eyes meet, a silent language starts to bloom,
A flicker of warmth, dispelling any gloom.
A nervous laugh, a cough that clears the air,
The weight of expectation, a burden to bear.
But wait, dear friend, let tension gently fade,
For introductions, a foundation to be laid.
Beyond the titles, past the outward guise,
A universe of stories in each other's eyes.
The artist's hand that birthed a masterpiece,
The baker's heart that finds solace in the yeast.
The doctor's touch that heals a wounded soul,
The student's mind, where knowledge takes its toll.
Introductions, a gateway to explore,
The depths of passion held within each core.
A shared experience, a whispered memory,
A thread that binds, a budding tapestry.
The shy musician, with melodies untold,
The traveler's spirit, yearning to unfold.
The gardener's touch, nurturing life anew,
The teacher's wisdom, like morning dew.
Introductions, a spark that ignites a flame,
Conversations bloom, whispering each one's name.
From awkward greetings to laughter that rings true,
A bridge is built, where hearts connect with you.
So let the music play, a symphony unbound,
As stories weave and common ground is found.
For introductions, a prelude to the grand,
A human tapestry, woven hand in hand.
We'll talk of dreams that dance beneath the moon,
Of fears confessed beneath a starry tune.
Of hopes that soar on wings of silver light,
And battles fought beneath the cloak of night.
Introductions, a seed that starts to sprout,
A friendship's blossom, chasing every doubt.
For in this meeting, on this fleeting stage,
We paint a future, turn
