Fire In Your Heart - Samuel Ludke

    Hushed goblet

In the hush of twilight, a secret it keeps,

A crystal goblet, where a slivered truth sleeps.

Not poison nor potion, a shimmer so faint,

A microchip marvel, a technological saint.

Within its cool depths, a circuit resides,

A silent observer, where no key confides.

Etched on its surface, a message unseen,

A gateway unlocked, a watchful machine.

This glass, unassuming, a prop in the scene,

Holds power unseen, a reality keen.

For Sarah, the owner, a comfort, a friend,

Unaware of the secrets it whispers to send.

The man in the shadows, with motives unknown,

Holds a counterpart chip, a power he's grown.

A twist in his fingers, a signal takes flight,

And the goblet responds in the pale, moonlit night.

A prickle of energy, unseen yet felt,

The chip in the glass, a story is dealt.

It paints a portrait, a blueprint so clear,

Of Sarah's safe haven, dispelling all fear.

The locks on the windows, a symphony's beat,

The creaking floorboards, the rhythm of feet.

The hum of the fridge, the sigh of the breeze,

All relayed in whispers, through technological trees.

The man with the chip, a voyeur unseen,

Can peer through the glass, a digital sheen.

He watches her slumber, her moments alone,

A knowledge unbidden, a seed that is sown.

At first, it's a comfort, a glimpse of her life,

A flicker of warmth, a way to cut strife.

But shadows grow longer, intentions take hold,

The innocent act, a story unfolds.

He sees her in laughter, in tears that she cries,

He witnesses moments, from sunup to skies.

A prisoner of knowledge, a burden to bear,

The line starts to blur, a conscience laid bare.

Sarah, oblivious, goes about her day,

Unaware of the eyes that dissect her this way.

The goblet, once cherished, a vessel of trust,

Now harbors a secret, a veil turned to dust.

The poem continues, with verses untold,

Of choices confronted, of stories unfold.

Will Sarah discover the chip's hidden eye?

Will the man find redemption, or forever reside

In the realm of the watcher, a ghost in the night,

Bound by a sliver, a beacon of light?

The tension crescendos, a battle within,

Can trust be restored, where secrets begin?

The goblet, a symbol, of comfort and fear,

A reminder that sometimes, the things we hold dear,

Can harbor a darkness, a truth to behold,

A story of trespass, in crystal unfold.

This poem is just a beginning, a thread to unwind,

A canvas to paint, where morals we find.

The chip in the glass, a metaphor's hold,

Of privacy stolen, a story untold.

So read on, dear reader, let the verses take flight,

Unravel the mystery, and see who is right.

For within this long poem, a question resides,

Can technology serve us, or take us for tides?

    Lunar deaths

Beneath the soft caress of lunar grace,

We stood, a world suspended, time and space

Dissolved in silver light, a whispered dream.

Your eyes, twin pools of starlight, caught the gleam,

And pierced the veil of reason, doubt, and fear,

Unveiling depths unseen, a world held dear

Within the chambers of my guarded soul.

No secrets hid, no story left untold.

The moon, a silent witness, bathed the scene

In pearlescent hues, a love supreme.

Your laughter, music on the night's soft breeze,

A symphony that set my spirit free.

Each word you spoke, a whispered, tender rhyme,

A tapestry of thoughts, transcending time.

Your touch, a feather-light caress, so pure,

Ignited flames that could forever endure.

The world around us faded, lost from sight,

    Replaced by constellations, burning bright.

We danced beneath the watchful, silver gaze,

Two souls entwined in love's enchanting maze.

The moonbeams danced upon your raven hair,

A crown of midnight whispers, soft and fair.

Your smile, a sunrise breaking through the night,

Banishing shadows with its radiant light.

In that moonlit embrace, my heart confessed

    Emotions
