Day One: My History Teacher was a Skeleton

Dear Diary,

My name is Ugh, and the word ‘ugh’ pretty much sums up how I feel about this summer so far. I may have messed around a lot during the school year, and by messing around I mean that I skipped classes. I also didn’t turn in most of my homework. My teachers didn’t appreciate all of my slacking, which is why I just finished my first month of summer school and I’m about to start my second month of it.

Last month I took a history class with my friend Grunt. My friend Grunt is more of a partner in crime than a friend. He was pretty much always by my side when I was skipping class. It’s ironic now because we’re both stuck in summer school together. Sometimes, Grunt and I get mad at each other because I’m trying to take this thing seriously, but he still wants to fool around. Last month we didn’t talk for a while, so I made a new friend named Snow. She’s pretty cool, even if she’s not a slacker.

My history teacher was cool too. She was a skeleton who fought in the last Skeleton War. Since then, she’s done a lot of other cool stuff, and she even brought in some old stuff from her adventures. She made the class fun. Oh, I don’t know if I need to mention it or not, but I passed that class. Which means that I have one class down and only two to go.

My next class is a science class that’s taught by a witch. I have no idea what to expect, so I’m a little nervous about it. I guess all that I can do about it is to wait. My first
